Owners of the much loved home of Music in Chippenham The Cause Venue. The Cause is a privately owned not-for-profit social enterprise supporting music, arts, and other activities to improve health, wellbeing and to bring people together. The previous Methodist Church was bought from the Council in 2001 the extensive renovations were completed at midnight 23rd May 2002 and the first customers were the Folk Festival on 24th May! This will be the 23rd festival for Fred and Norma and the 4th one for Alya, and most of our helpers have been with us from the start! The building has a rich history from being a ssingle-story Quaker meeting house in the early 1700’s.
