JAMB

The musicians forming JAMB have appeared a number of times and in a number of combinations at Chippenham, including the bands ‘Alterations’ and ‘Momentum’.

JAMB is Jane Harrison on fiddle, Ali Messer on accordion, Meg Griffin, who plays guitar but is also well-known for running the fabulous Alcester Contra Dances plus Bill Keys on whistle and bones. Bill is also one of Chippenham’s best-loved sound engineers. They bring their own shared love of dancing to the rhythm and energy of their music.

JAMB play for a mixture of dance styles including English and Scottish Country, traditional dances and American contra with a strong emphasis on using northern traditional tunes such as those from Northumberland to Shetland.
