Hoik!

Hoik! - Fiddler Edward Wallace, Guitarist Tom Oakes, frets wizard Louis Bingham - play dance music with drive and lift. Their tunes come from the borders of British Isles and American traditions. The name is inspired by the Scottish border town of Hawick, as well as the energy they bring to the dance floor! Edward Wallace has played fiddle for contra dances across the USA and UK. Edinburgh based, he has spent the last two decades ploughing many different furrows as a traditional/contemporary musician, composer, producer and sound designer. Known widely for his driving and lyrical guitar playing with Shetland fiddler Ross Couper (‘Exquisite’ The Guardian **** ), Genre bending pan Finnish act ‘The Auvo Quartet’ and new Scottish powerhouse OBT.
