English workshop - "Timing is Everything" (Folk Dance)
Some of the most satisfying moments in dance come from nailing the timing of a connection, a lead forward, or a back-to-back. In this workshop we will discover those moments in our favourite dances from the long and living Playford tradition, finding the joy in perfectly-timed transitions and the beauty they create. (P)

Louise Siddons  Louise Siddons is a caller, teacher, and historian of social folk dances and related forms from the 17th century through to the present. She creates welcoming, fun events for all experience levels. | Jacqueline Schwab (US)  Jacqueline has long explored flowing, improvisatory ways of playing for country dancing with the quartet Bare Necessities and others, including Ali Messer. Her signature playing infuses the soundtracks of many award-winning Ken Burns’ documentaries. |
