Martyn Wyndham-Read

BIOG Martyn Wyndham-Read Martyn Wyndham-Read has been involved with folk music for over 60 years. In his late teens he left his mother’s farm in Sussex, England and headed off, with his guitar, to Australia where he worked on a sheep and cattle station, Emu Springs, in South Australia. It was while he was there that he first heard the old songs sung by some of the station hands and became captivated by the character and atmosphere of these songs and the need to know more of them and where they came from. Martyn Wyndham-Read has been singing folk music for over 60 years.He set off from his mothers farm in Sussex when he was 18 with his guitar and went to Australia to work on a sheep and cattle station Emu Springs. His love of the music is still as strong as ever.

Bob and Gill Berry (Duo)

Former festival Directors Bob and Gill have been performing in the traditional folk world for more than 34 years with their passion for the genre.

Jon Loomes (solo)

Jon Loomes is an English traditional singer and guitarist. Jon weaves magical, sensitive accompaniments in the finest traditions of Martin Carthy and Nic Jones.

Tim Brooks (MC)

An experienced MC having run Herga Folk Club and Sunday afternoon concerts in Abbotts Longley
